This technique uses gentle manipulation of the muscles to reactivate neuropathways between the brain and the muscle. With pain or stress there is often overworked or underused muscles that need attention. When a movement of a joint is done correctly there is less energy exerted and a wider range of motion. Balancing is accomplished by stimulating the Golgi tendons and spindle cells in the muscle to reconnect with the brain and reset the muscle to the proper function. During the treatment the tight muscles are stretched to promote relaxation so the weak muscles can be activated and strengthened.
